Due to continued growth, we are now recruiting additional class one tramper drivers to join our team with vacancies available throughout the UK.

This role involves working away from home Monday to Friday with the occassional requirement for working on a Saturday morning, delivering bulk product nationwide.

Requirements:

• Valid DCPC & digital tachograph
• Sound geographical knowledge and understanding of EU drivers hours rules
• Experience of bulk haulage preferred

A.W. Jenkinson Transport ltd is now looking for nightshift LGV C+E drivers to be based out of our Lockerbie site. The role is full-time, Monday-Friday walking floor work, with late afternoon/early evening start time.

A.W. Jenkinson Penrith Truckstop has a vacancy for a Restaurant Assistant to join our busy evening shift.  The role will involve working in the restaurant working as part of the service team. 

The successful applicant will be required to take customer orders and payments accurately, as well as serving their food. We expect a high standard of cleanliness throughout the Truckstop, and you will be responsible for ensuring this standard throughout the restaurant. 

Hours of work are 2pm-10pm, Monday to Friday with the occasional Saturday. However, there may be a requirement to work additional hours from time to time.

A.W. Jenkinson Transport Ltd has two vacancies for semi-skilled operatives to work alongside our LGV Fitters and Fabricators at our Gilwilly site located on Gilwilly Industrial Estate, Penrith.

The positions involve carrying out end-of-contract maintenance and preparing new LGV vehicles to join the fleet. The ideal applicants will have some mechanical experience and an understanding of Health and Safety requirements, as well as the ability to make the best use of time and resources. 

Hours of work are 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday, inclusive, with Saturday mornings as required. However, depending on workload, there may be a requirement to work additional hours. Full training will be given.

A.W. Jenkinson Transport Ltd has a vacancy for an experienced and qualified LGV Mechanic/Fitter to work at our Runcorn site located on Ashville Way, Beechwood, Runcorn, WA7 3EZ.

The role involves repairing and maintaining LGV units and a varied range of trailers, including walking floors, timber cranes, tippers and curtain-sided trailers. 

The ideal applicant will have experience of maintaining LGVs taking into account Health and Safety requirements, whilst making the best use of time and resources.

Hours of work are 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday, inclusive with Saturday mornings as required. However, depending on workload, there may be a requirement to work additional hours. 

Ideally, you will come from a time served LGV background, having attained appropriate City & Guilds, NVQ or B/TEC qualifications. You will have experience working in a Heavy Goods Vehicle workshop. Holding a current class C+E licence would be advantageous, but not essential.

• Gilwilly, Penrith – 7am-5.30pm, Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday mornings.
• Lockerbie – 6am-6.30pm, Friday, Saturday & Sundays and depending on workload, there may be a requirement to work additional hours. There will also be a requirement to cover holidays at our Gilwilly site in Penrith.

Ideally, you will come from a time served LGV background, having attained appropriate City & Guilds, NVQ or B/TEC qualifications. You will have experience working in a Heavy Goods Vehicle workshop. Holding a current class C+E licence would be advantageous, but not essential.

Hours of work are variable but worked during dayshift 7am-5.30pm, Monday to Friday inclusive, with alternate Saturday mornings. However depending on workload, there may be a requirement to work additional hours.
