A.W. Jenkinson Transport Ltd. require an Administrator to provide support to our busy office. The position will be based from our Transport Offices in Penrith.
The position will involve all aspects of general administration, including data input, filing, photocopying answering the telephone and directing calls.
The successful candidate must be numerate, have good I.T. skills, communication skills and understand the need for strict confidentiality. Previous experience is preferred but the position could suit a less experienced person who may be required to work through and successfully complete a Business Administration NVQ through an apprenticeship programme.
Though not essential, having knowledge or understanding of the logistics industry would be advantageous.

A.W. Jenkinson Penrith Truckstop has a vacancy for a Restaurant Assistant to join our busy evening shift. The role will involve working in the restaurant working as part of the service team.

The positions involve carrying out end-of-contract maintenance and preparing new LGV vehicles to join the fleet. The ideal applicants will have some mechanical experience and an understanding of Health and Safety requirements, as well as the ability to make the best use of time and resources.
Hours of work are 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday, inclusive, with Saturday mornings as required. However, depending on workload, there may be a requirement to work additional hours. Full training will be given.

A.W. Jenkinson Transport Ltd has a vacancy for an experienced and qualified LGV Mechanic/Fitter to work at our Runcorn site located on Ashville Way, Beechwood, Runcorn, WA7 3EZ.
The role involves repairing and maintaining LGV units and a varied range of trailers, including walking floors, timber cranes, tippers and curtain-sided trailers.
The ideal applicant will have experience of maintaining LGVs taking into account Health and Safety requirements, whilst making the best use of time and resources.
Hours of work are 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday, inclusive with Saturday mornings as required. However, depending on workload, there may be a requirement to work additional hours.
Ideally, you will come from a time served LGV background, having attained appropriate City & Guilds, NVQ or B/TEC qualifications. You will have experience working in a Heavy Goods Vehicle workshop. Holding a current class C+E licence would be advantageous, but not essential.
