LGV C+E (Class1) Tramper Drivers - Bulk Haulage

A.W. Jenkinson Transport Ltd operate a large fleet of modern vehicles with 17 depots located throughout the UK.

Due to continued growth, we are now recruiting additional class one tramper drivers to join our team with vacancies available throughout the UK.

This role involves working away from home Monday to Friday with the occassional requirement for working on a Saturday morning, delivering bulk product nationwide.

  • Sound geographical knowledge and understanding of EU drivers hours rules
  • Experience of bulk haulage preferred

Workshop Supervisor – Runcorn

Joining A.W. Jenkinson Transport Limited will provide you with the opportunity to be part of a growing business. We are continually investing in our fleet and operations to ensure our team has the tools and systems on hand to best serve our customers.

We now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Workshop Operative Supervisor to join our team, based at Runcorn.

The ideal applicant will have experience in managing an LGV workshop, taking into account health and safety requirements whilst making the best use of time and resources.

Hours of work are usually 7:00 am to 5:30 pm. However, depending on workload, there may be a requirement to work additional hours or weekends. 

Ideally, you will be a time served Motor Vehicle technician with experience of working in a Heavy Goods Vehicle workshop.

The Role:

  • To ensure all VOSA regulations are followed and that no Prohibitions are issued against our vehicles
  • To ensure all vehicle testing is carried out and that all testing is appropriate to the type of vehicle, completed within an appropriate timescale and recorded on company systems
  • Ensure stock levels are managed and liaise with suppliers accordingly
  • Good housekeeping routines to meet H&S requirements

Skills:

  • Transport Manager CPC required
  • A Class C+E Licence would be an advantage
  • NVQ level 3 or BTEC LGV Mechanic/Engineering Qualification

IT Support & Infrastructure Engineer - Clifton

The Role

Reporting to the IT Manager, you will provide technical support and infrastructure administration across a diverse multi-site environment. You will be responsible for resolving IT issues, maintaining core business systems, and assisting with the implementation of new technologies across the Group.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently, troubleshooting complex issues, and engaging with users at all levels of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network and infrastructure issues.
  • Support and administer Microsoft 365 services, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint.
  • Configure and maintain network infrastructure including switches, wireless networks.
  • Support and administer telephone and PBX systems, including user provisioning and deployment.
  • Manage endpoint devices including desktops, laptops, mobile devices and printers.
  • Maintain technical documentation and support procedures.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a 2nd Line Support, Infrastructure Support or Systems Engineer role.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop and server operating systems.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy and Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Strong understanding of networking technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Vlan’s and VPNs.
  • Experience diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites when required.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • SharePoint administration and management.
  • Experience with VMware and/or other virtualisation platforms.
  • Support and administration of IP telephony and PBX platforms.
  • Microsoft Intune and endpoint management experience.
  • Experience within a multi-site business environment.

Weighbridge Operator/General Administrator - Lockerbie

A.W. Jenkinson Forest Products is looking for a Weighbridge Operator/General Administrator to work at our Lockerbie Site.

The position involves all aspects of general administration, material sampling and testing, accurately recording vehicle weight data, and issuing or receiving appropriate paperwork as vehicles deliver or remove materials to and from the site. 

The successful candidate will ideally have experience of working to deadlines, good attention to detail, be able to communicate effectively, and provide accurate information whilst maintaining a high level of confidentiality. Strong computer skills would be advantageous. 

Hours of work are negotiable but mainly worked during the day, Monday to Friday inclusive, with Saturdays required on a rota basis.

Forest Machine Operator- Central Scotland and the Borders

We are looking for a Forest Machine Operator to be based in Central Scotland and the Borders but may need to travel further afield on occasions.

The position involves operating one of our 360 machines and tree shear, working on thinnings and clearfell projects, managing your own health and safety on site, liaising with our Planning Team, carrying out some basic maintenance on the machines and filling in relevant paperwork as required. Drivers are required to work such hours as necessary, including occasional weekends and evenings; this role also includes working away from home. 

The ideal candidate will hold a valid FMOC and First Aid + F certificates, as well as having experience of forestry work.
