A.W. Jenkinson Transport Joins the Rhayader Carnival Parade

There was no missing A.W. Jenkinson Transport at this year’s Rhayader Carnival in Wales, as one of our trucks joined the procession carrying a farmyard full of rather lively animals!

The float celebrated British farming and was the work of Newbridge Transport Manager Nikki Lewis, who drew on her family’s farming background to bring the idea to life with help from family and friends. Nikki even swapped transport management for a starring role as the resident granny. Among the young farm animals were Nikki’s daughter Niamh and Neil Rogers’ daughter Jessica, dressed as two very cute little pigs, who took great delight in soaking spectators with water pistols.

Neil, whose hometown is Rhayader, drove the truck through the busy streets - this may be a small town, but its carnival certainly punches above its weight.

A huge well done to Nikki for all the hard work that went into such a brilliant float, and thank you to everyone who helped make it happen. We were delighted to be part of a fantastic day for the town.
