Centurion tank

Kevin Wood, one of our Penrith-based drivers, was out on the road delivering to a customer when he passed through Leyland in Lancashire. While in town, he spotted the Centurion tank — a tribute to the men and women who have served in the armed forces. For over 60 years, the tank was the military backbone for numerous armies around the globe, seeing action in wars from Korea and Vietnam to India and the Gulf. Now at the entrance to Leyland, it also honours the town’s rich history and the workers who built it.
