Ken Smith bids farewell after years of dedication at A.W. Jenkinson

After many dedicated years with A.W. Jenkinson, Ken Smith has moved on to pastures new. Ken's journey with the company began back in the late 1990s, working on the yard at Clifton and stepping in as a relief driver when needed. In 2009, he took on the role of driver trainer.

Ken brought a wealth of experience and practical know-how to the role, helping guide new starters through their inductions and DCPC sessions. His efforts ensured that vital industry standards - TASCC and FIAS - were not just met, but maintained at consistently high levels.

Kevin Mitchell, Health & Safety Manager at A.W. Jenkinson Transport, paid tribute, saying: “Ken was a loyal, trusted, and hard-working member of the team until the day he left. He, and his antics, will be missed by all at Gilwilly - and indeed, further afield.”
